Emily Sasser Bray a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, who owns a private practice in Austin, TX. Emily provides psychotherapy to adults, specifically working moms and dads, to address relational and developmental trauma with the goal of improving the lives of parents and children. Her second career is raising twin daughters born with her husband and partner Keith.
Emily is a Galveston BOI (Born on the Island) and graduated from Ball High School. She loves Galveston and all that it has to offer including being one of her major influences for pursuing a career in social work. Emily graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2009 with a Masters of Science in Social Work and has been practicing in the field ever since. She has worked for nonprofits such as Communities in Schools and United Way as well as for the state of Texas at the Health and Human Services Commission.
She is proud to serve on the Harris and Eliza Kempner Fund, as a family member descending from Sara Weston, following in the footsteps of her mother, aunt, and grandfather. Emily has served on the Executive Committee as Secretary and Vice-President supporting initiatives such as flexible funding and facilitated Board discussions on rewriting the mission, vision, and purpose.
