• Galveston Fund name changed to Harris and Eliza Kempner Fund to honor progenitors (1950).

• The Last Will and Testament of Daniel W. Kempner established the Jeane B. Kempner Fund to provide fellowships for graduates of The University of Texas Medical Branch to pursue advanced studies. (1956).

• The Last Will and Testament of Gladys Kempner established the Kemper Park Fund for repairs and improvements to Kempner Park (1958).

• A Visiting Professorship at The University of Texas Medical Branch honors the memory of Daniel W. Kempner (1959).

• The I.H. Kempner, Jr. Scholarship Endowment was established at Harvard College in memory of Mr. Kempner (1959).

• The Harris L. Kempner Student Loan Program initiated in 1959. The circulating fund supported over 500 students until 2003.
